Within each of us is an inner voice. It is a quiet, gentle voice that speaks for love. When we align our lives with this stately calm within, we are filled with passion, purpose, and meaning. Every step becomes filled with intention and grace.
But we often don’t hear that voice because it is “drowned out by all the ego’s raucous screams and senseless ravings”.
In each moment we can ask ourselves whether we are, in the words of Martin Buber, “carefully observing” that compassionate guide within – or if we are coming from a place of longing and limitation.
If we don’t like the answer, we can gently choose again.
